BFT Automation is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the South West region. The role is home-based in the South West with regular travel and overnight stays, reporting to the UK Sales Manager.

You will drive growth with installers and distributors, managing key accounts and expanding market presence. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in UK construction sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' proven sales in UK construction sector.
• Proven experience selling to installers, distributors and other construction industry customers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Technically minded with ability to assess product suitability and feasibility.
• Self-motivated, well organised and able to work autonomously.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365, SharePoint and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsabilités

• Manage B2B sales and relationships across a diverse customer base, from small installers to large organisations and distributors.
• Sell BFT’s gate automation and access solutions portfolio.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts through proactive engagement and development.
• Identify and win new business through structured prospecting and targeted development.
• Maintain accurate customer account information and sales activity records in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with Internal Sales and Technical teams on pricing, product and technical needs.
• Provide customers with technical insight and guidance on product selection and application.
• Share market intelligence with senior management on market share, pricing trends and opportunities.
