Job summary

Loungers’ Visto Lounge in Devon is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team, support the Head Chef, and ensure every dish leaving the pass is of outstanding quality. You’ll oversee prep, organise service, and guide the team with passion for great food.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or similar role with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to lead kitchen shifts and maintain high standards.
• Commitment to consistent quality, hygiene and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence, keeping service smooth and on spec from prep through to the final plate.
• Support the Head Chef daily, covering in their absence and ensuring consistency in results.
• Maintain high standards on the pass for quality, pace, cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Oversee prep, par, stock control, waste, orders and shift handovers.
• Coach and develop team members to build confidence and deliver great food every shift.
