Job summary

Butcombe Group is seeking a Sous Chef to join their bustling kitchen, delivering exceptional dining experiences in some of the UK’s most picturesque pubs and inns. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth, safe operations and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency across every dish.

You’ll coach and mentor junior chefs, manage stock andOrdering, and support kitchen compliance.

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Ability to coach and mentor kitchen staff.
• Strong focus on food quality, consistency and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head Chef to ensure kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Support food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation across every dish.
• Coach and mentor chefs within the team to build capability.
• Help manage stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Take the lead in.Head Chef's absence and support development of the wider kitchen team.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing kitchen culture.
