Job summary

Butcombe Group is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen teams across stunning UK locations. You will work with the Head Chef to keep the kitchen running smoothly, safely, and efficiently, delivering exceptional dishes with consistency.

The role emphasises mentoring junior chefs, managing stock and orders, and driving a positive, high-performing kitchen culture within a vibrant hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to coach and mentor chefs within the team.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Supporting with food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation across every dish.
• Coaching and mentoring chefs within the team, sharing knowledge and building capability.
• Helping to manage stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Taking the lead in the Head Chef's absence and supporting the development of the wider kitchen team.
• Playing a key role in creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
