Job summary

Butcombe Group is seeking a Junior Sous Chef for our busy kitchens in some of the UK’s most picturesque locations. You will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef, help with food prep, and ensure quality and presentation across shifts.

You will train and support junior chefs, contribute ideas, and help with stock control and kitchen compliance. We offer flexible working, award-winning culture, and opportunities to grow your culinary career.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy kitchen environments.
• Commitment to food safety and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering exceptional food and service during every shift.
• Assisting with food preparation and maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
• Taking responsibility for your section and ensuring it is organised, clean and ready for service.
• Helping to train and support junior chefs, sharing knowledge and best practice.
• Contributing new ideas and embracing opportunities to learn and develop your culinary skills.
• Supporting stock control, food safety and kitchen compliance standards.
• Stepping up when needed and playing an active role in the success of the kitchen team.
