Job summary

Butcombe Group in Oxfordshire is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our bustling kitchen and lead a team in delivering exceptional dining experiences across stunning locations.

You will work alongside the Head Chef, support food preparation and service, and ensure high standards of quality, consistency and presentation. The role includes mentoring chefs, managing stock, and stepping in during the Head Chef's absence to develop the wider kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Ability to coach and mentor chefs.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head Chef to run kitchen smoothly and safely.
• Support with food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Coach and mentor chefs within the team, sharing knowledge and building capability.
• Help to manage stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Take the lead in the Head Chef's absence and support the development of the wider kitchen team.
• Play a key role in creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
