Job summary

Butcombe Pubs & Inns is seeking a Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen teams in some of the UK’s most stunning locations. You will work alongside the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, safely and to high standards, helping with food preparation and day-to-day kitchen management.

You’ll coach and mentor junior chefs, contribute to stock control and kitchen compliance, and lead the team in the Head Chef’s absence.

• Support with kitchen management and discipline.

Responsibilities

• Work with Head Chef to run kitchen smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Assist with food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintain high standards of quality, consistency and presentation.
• Coach and mentor chefs within the team and build capability.
• Assist with stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Lead in Head Chef's absence and support development of the wider kitchen team.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
