Job summary

The Rose & Crown in Yealmpton, part of St Austell Brewery, is seeking a versatile Sous Chef to join our lively kitchen team. You will support the Head Chef, lead a passionate crew, and ensure each dish is prepared to exact specifications using locally sourced produce.

Qualifications

• Sous Chef with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Support Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and ensuring precise dish specifications.
• Demonstrate flexibility to adapt menus to business needs and guest expectations.

Set in the beautiful village of Yealmpton, The Rose & Crown is a much-loved pub with accommodation that’s renowned for its food, cosy interior, and suntrap walled garden.

You’ll be working in the South Hams, largely an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is abundant with magnificent scenery. You’ll find breathtaking beaches, quality local food, history, culture, and enchanting woodland all moments away.

Are you a versatile Sous Chef with experience of working in a fast-paced environment? Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, with locally sourced produce, to provide high quality food that delights our guests. As Sous Chef, you will support your Head Chef in leading our talented kitchen team while ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met. You will utilise the flexibility enabled by our menu writing processes, to help adapt our offer to meet the needs of our business and our guests.
