Job summary

Pho - St Albans is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to join our recently opened Pho restaurant in St Albans. You will support the Head Chef, mentor wok, lines and salad chefs, and ensure high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a Second/Sous Chef role.
• Experience mentoring wok/line/salad chefs.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
• Hands-on cooking in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef with managerial duties and scheduling.
• Mentor and supervise wok, line and salad stations.
• Ensure food safety, HACCP compliance and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist in menu execution and daily prep tasks.

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our recently to opened Pho restaurant in St Albans.

Our kitchen has a wonderful team of chefs who work very hard and are great at what they do, so it’s important we find the right Second Chef who is going to be supportive, friendly and hands‑on, always ready to help in the different sections of the kitchen.

Salary offer of up to£41,100 per hour is made up of an hourly base of £34,700 plus earnings received through tronc.

What Pho is looking for:

• Hands on chefs who are passionate about cooking fresh, vibrant and flavoursome food.
• Second Chef or Sous Chef with minimum x1 years’ in role.
• Experience being second in command in a kitchen. Assisting both the Head Chef with managerial duties and being a mentor to our wok chefs, lines chefs and salad chefs.
• Strong knowledge in food safety and managing compliance within health and safety regulations
