Job summary

Pho in Bluewater is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to join a busy kitchen. You will work closely with the Head Chef, supporting daily operations and mentoring junior chefs across sections.

The role emphasises leadership, teamwork and delivering vibrant, fresh dishes with consistent quality. The successful candidate will have experience as a second-in-command, a strong focus on food safety and the ability to manage kitchen tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a Sous Chef/Second Chef role.
• Experience as second in command in a kitchen, mentoring wok, lines and salad chefs.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef with managerial duties and kitchen operations.
• Mentor wok chefs, lines chefs and salad chefs to maintain high standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to food safety and health & safety regulations.

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our busy Pho restaurant in Bluewater

Our kitchen has a wonderful team of chefs who work very hard and are great at what they do, so it’s important we find the right Second Chef who is going to be supportive, friendly and hands-on, always ready to help in the different sections of the kitchen.

Salary advertised is made up of a base annual salary of £34,700 plus earnings received through tronc

What Pho is looking for:

• Hands on chefs who are passionate about cooking fresh, vibrant and flavoursome food.
• Second Chef or Sous Chef with minimum x1 years’ in role.
• Experience being second in command in a kitchen. Assisting both the Head Chef with managerial duties and being a mentor to our wok chefs, lines chefs and salad chefs.
