Job summary

Pho Canterbury is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen. You will support the Head Chef across sections, mentor junior staff and uphold strict food-safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a base salary of £34,700 with tron earnings, and an annual package up to £42,700, reflecting performance and team results. Join us for delicious, fresh Pho and a vibrant work culture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on chefs who are passionate about cooking fresh, vibrant and flavoursome food.
• Second Chef or Sous Chef with minimum one year in role.
• Experience being second in command in a kitchen – assisting Head Chef with managerial duties and mentoring wok chefs, line chefs and salad chefs.
• Strong knowledge in food safety and managing compliance within health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef with managerial duties and mentoring kitchen staff across sections.
• Assist across kitchen sections to ensure smooth operation and high standards of food quality.

Job description

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our busy Pho restaurant in Canterbury.

Our kitchen has a wonderful team of chefs who work very hard and are great at what they do, so it’s important we find the right Second Chef who is going to be supportive, friendly and hands‑on, always ready to help in the different sections of the kitchen.

Annual salary offer of up to £42,700. The base annual salary is £34,700 plus earnings received through tronc.
