Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a skilled Sous Chef for a countryside Country Inn near Northampton. You will support the Head Chef in a Rosette-standard kitchen, preparing restaurant, bar, and function menus with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

You will lead a small team during busy services, demonstrate strong management skills, and require own transport due to location. This is a full-time role in a village setting.

Qualifications

• Must already be a Sous Chef with proven leadership.
• Experience in busy hotel, pub or restaurant.
• Strong management skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Report to Head Chef and supervise junior chefs.
• Prepare and plate meals for restaurant, bar and functions.
• Work in Rosette-standard kitchen using fresh seasonal ingredients.

A Fantastic opportunity had arisen at our client based in a village outside Northampton for a Chef to work in their busy Country Inn. The property serves all fresh food to rosette level each service to restaurant and bar customers as well as private functions and weddings. The Head Chef is looking for a talented Sous Chef with a calm personality who can assist in leading the team during a busy service. You will need your own transport due to location.

The Role

• Reporting to the Head Chef you will be assisted by junior chefs
• Working in the Rosette standard kitchen using fresh and seasonal ingredients
• Preparing and plating meals for restauarnt/bar and functions
• Mix of Straights & Shifts

The Person

• You will already be a Sous Chef
• Able to work unsupervised and have strong management skills
• Have experience of working in a busy hotel, pub or restaurant
• Good attention to detail
