Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment has a vacancy for a Product Support Engineer to join its software support team in a hybrid role based in Fareham, Hampshire. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer support for business-critical applications and working closely with developers to implement practical solutions.

You will handle technical inquiries, troubleshoot client tickets within SLAs, gather RFCs, test updates, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in application/software support.
• Exposure to C#, SQL, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, IIS, SQL Server.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication (technical → non-technical).
• High attention to detail and organization.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support and resolving application issues within agreed SLAs
• Troubleshooting and managing client tickets from start to resolution
• Working closely with stakeholders, analysts, and developers
• Communicating clearly with clients and delivering excellent customer service
• Gathering requirements for system changes (RFCs) and supporting their delivery
• Testing, documenting, and supporting application updates
• Assisting with debugging and implementing improvements (training provided)
• Contributing to team development and continuous improvement initiatives
