Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking an Application Support Engineer in Fareham (Hybrid) to deliver expert support for business-critical applications. You will troubleshoot issues, engage with clients, and collaborate with developers to implement improvements.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, clear communication, and efficient ticket resolution, with a salary in the £30k–£35k range plus benefits.

Qualifications

Commercial experience in application/software support.
Exposure to C#, SQL, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, IIS, SQL Server.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication (technical non-technical).
High attention to detail and organisation.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Providing technical support and resolving application issues within agreed SLAs.
Troubleshooting and managing client tickets from start to resolution.
Working closely with stakeholders, analysts, and developers.
Communicating clearly with clients and delivering excellent customer service.
Gathering requirements for system changes (RFCs) and supporting their delivery.
Testing, documenting, and supporting application updates.
Assisting with debugging and implementing improvements (training provided).
Contributing to team development and continuous improvement initiatives.
