Job summary

A global organization is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to support their Workplace Modernisation programme. The role requires proven expertise across network infrastructure technologies, including Cisco and Palo Alto, and experience within regulated sectors like Insurance or Finance. This position demands strong analytical skills and the ability to produce high-quality documentation. The successful candidate will work onsite in Glasgow for 3 days a week and will need to pass background checks before commencing work.

Job description

Solution Architect – Network Infrastructure – 6-month Contract

A global organisation is at the beginning of a Workplace Modernisation programme and is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join the team, tasked with supporting the design and delivery of this transformation.

Qualifications

Previous experience operating as a Solutions Architect within a global organisation, ideally in a regulated environment such as Insurance, Legal, or Financial Services.

Strong experience across network infrastructure technologies, including:

• Cisco
• FortiGate
• Forti ADC
• SD-WAN
• Palo Alto

Exposure to other modernisation initiatives, including Microsoft Azure, Windows 11, data centre migrations, AV refreshes, and security refresh programmes would also be considered.

Responsibility for producing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation.

Proven end-to-end design and deployment experience across both on-premise environments and Azure cloud platforms.

A strong analytical and problem-solving approach, with the ability to design solutions aligned to business needs and stakeholder expectations.

Experience leading Design Authority processes, covering solution design, governance, and assurance.

Close collaboration with Enterprise and Security Architects to ensure all solutions meet architectural standards and security compliance requirements.

Engagement & Logistics

This Solution Architect will be required 3 days per week onsite in Glasgow.

This Solution Architect role is an immediate start, with interview slots available in early January 2026.

Please note, the Solutions Architect will have to go through background checks before you start, these cover Right to Work, Reference, Certification check – this process can take up to 4 weeks.
