Solicitor - Quality & Risk - Bristol - 3+ Years PQE

Location: Bristol

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week, hybrid flexibility)

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)

A respected law firm is seeking a Quality & Risk Solicitor (or other regulated professional) with 3+ years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent) to join its busy and well-established Quality & Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on compliance, professional conduct, and client service.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for providing first-tier advice and support across the firm on professional conduct and compliance matters, including:

  • Advising on regulatory compliance, risk management, AML legislation, and conflicts management
  • Working closely with the Quality & Risk team, COLP and COFA to analyse complaints, claims, and breaches, assisting with remedial action
  • Supervising and advising on escalations from the centralised Onboarding team
  • Drafting and maintaining guidance, policies, processes, and precedents
  • Supporting internal training on best practice, legislation changes, and regulatory compliance
  • Liaising with regulators alongside colleagues
  • Keeping up to date with professional, legal, and best practice developments
Candidate Requirements
  • 3+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) in a similar compliance/risk role
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory regimes, including:
    • The SRA Handbook
    • Anti-Money Laundering legislation
    • Bribery and Data Protection legislation
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences
  • Strong planning, time management, and organisational skills
  • Confidence in influencing and interacting constructively at all levels of the business
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach
