Solicitor - Private Client Associate - Somerton - 3+ Years PQE

Location: Somerton

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (dependent on experience)

A respected law firm is seeking a Private Client Associate to join its busy and supportive team in Somerton. This is an excellent opportunity to provide expert legal advice across Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Probate, Tax, and Estate Administration, while managing a diverse caseload and building long‑term client relationships in a collaborative environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing and supervising one Fee Earner and one Legal Assistant
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service
  • Attending clients at their homes or other agreed locations as required
  • Handling and managing a varied caseload efficiently and effectively
  • Drafting Wills and Powers of Attorney
  • Advising on trusts, probate, and tax matters
  • Progressing client matters in a timely manner, ensuring service level agreements are met
  • Delivering a profitable contribution to the department through fee‑earning work and achieving billing targets
  • Demonstrating a compassionate and sensitive approach, particularly with elderly or incapacitated clients
  • Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive advice
  • Conducting research to provide accurate and informed guidance
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legislative changes
  • Ensuring files are maintained to a high professional standard
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years PQE in private client work
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
