Raytheon Systems in Manchester is seeking a Software Engineer to build software across modern stacks in a Defence context. You’ll work in an agile team with focus on delivering secure software and contributing to milestones. Willingness to obtain SC and eDV clearance is essential, with hybrid on-site work while clearance evolves.

Responsibilities cover React/NextJS, Python/Java, REST APIs, cloud, containers, IaC and databases. The role offers a competitive package and extensive benefits.

Formación

• Core software engineering skills across modern stacks.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, NextJS), TypeScript, Python or Java.
• REST API development / OpenAPI / Swagger.
• Cloud services (AWS or Azure).
• Containerisation & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Elasticsearch / Opensearch experience.
• Unit testing & automation (Mocha, Jest, Cypress).
• Experience working in an Agile delivery team.

Software Engineer

Location: Manchester

Due to the interesting work we do and the sector this team is working in, we require all candidates to be willing to obtain and eligible to hold SC and eDV clearance.

Whilst on the SC clearance, you are able to work on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week on site. Full time on site would be required when eDV clearance is obtained

Required experience
