Job summary
Raytheon UK in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build software within a cyber-focused, agile team. An active eDV clearance is required for this role, with on-site work in London and permanent employment.
As a member of our Cyber division, you will collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to deliver enterprise-grade web and backend services, leveraging AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools. The role offers a strong growth path and a competitive package.
Qualifications
- Experience working in an Agile delivery team.
- Java development with Spring Boot.
- Front‑end development using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
- Building enterprise‑grade web applications or backend services.
- Cloud & DevOps.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent).
- Data & Integration.
- Working with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Familiarity with structured and unstructured data concepts.
- Messaging / streaming systems (Kafka, AWS SQS, or other cloud-native queuing services).
- Experience with data visualisation tools or techniques.
- Quality & Engineering Practices.
- Unit testing and test automation.
- Use of code repositories (Git), including branching strategies, pull‑request workflows, and merge processes.

- £: Competitive salary
