Job summary

Raytheon UK is hiring a Principal Software Engineer in London. You will join a cross‑functional team delivering critical software for national security, using React/NextJS, TypeScript, Python, and Java across cloud environments.

Role requires strong API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes. Experience in Agile development and GitLab workflows is expected. Flexible on-site, hybrid, or remote working arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Proficient in JavaScript frameworks (React, NextJS).
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Python; Java experience is beneficial.
• Experience with REST API development and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Cloud services (AWS or Azure) and containerization platforms.
• Familiar with IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible and relational databases.
• Experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and modern testing frameworks.
• Prior working in Agile delivery teams and version control (GitLab).
