A local recruitment agency is seeking a Soft Play Supervisor in Carryduff to oversee soft play and café operations. The role involves ensuring safety, maintaining hygiene standards, and providing excellent customer service in a fun environment for children and families. The ideal candidate should have experience in the hospitality sector, possess a Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate, and have strong communication and organizational skills. This position will include weekend and holiday shifts.
The Soft Play Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the soft play facility and café, ensuring a safe, clean, fun, and welcoming environment for children and families. The role involves delivering high standards of customer service, overseeing café operations, and ensuring full compliance with health & safety and food hygiene requirements.
Supervise soft play activities to ensure children play safely and equipment is used correctly.
Enforce soft play rules and manage behaviour in a friendly, calm, and professional manner.
Conduct regular safety checks of play equipment and report or escalate maintenance concerns.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented soft play area throughout operating hours.
Oversee café operations during assigned shifts to ensure efficient service and quality standards.
Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, food, and snacks as required.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen awareness, and cleanliness standards.
Maintain cleanliness of café counters, seating areas, and food preparation spaces.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed across soft play and café areas.
Accurately record and report accidents and incidents in line with procedures.
Uphold food safety, allergen management, and hygiene standards at all times.
Create a welcoming, friendly, and fun environment for children and parents.
Support childrens parties, group bookings, and special events.
Respond professionally to customer queries and resolve issues where appropriate.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Calm, confident, and approachable when dealing with children and parents.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or food service environment.
Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate or willingness to obtain.
First Aid qualification (desirable).
AccessNI clearance required.
10:00am – 5:00pm
Includes weekends and school holidays
