The School and Role

We are seeking a creative and passionate Sociology Teacher to join a progressive secondary school in December. The successful Sociology Teacher will join a forward-thinking team in a school that is part of a well-established Multi-Academy Trust. High expectations are set for all students, and the school is committed to removing barriers to learning.

This is a short-term Sociology Teacher position so needs to be able to start ASAP. This is a Good rated school, where pupils have been praised by OFSTED for how they treat each other and adults with respect. Behaviour at this school is exemplary, and staff have access to excellent facilities and state-of-the-art classrooms.

Requirements
  • Plan, deliver and teach Sociology lessons at both KS4 and KS5.
  • Ensure that all students make progress through monitoring and supporting individual children and teaching groups.
  • Promote and support the inclusion of students, including those with specific needs.
  • Have effective communication skills, be reliable and hardworking individual.
