Hold and manage a caseload of children and young people who are looked after by Kent County Council.
Complete statutory assessments, care plans, pathway plans, and reviews in line with legislation and local procedures.
Promote permanence through reunification, long‑term fostering, special guardianship, or adoption where appropriate.
Ensure children’s views, wishes, and feelings are central to all planning and decision‑making.
Support placement stability, emotional wellbeing, education, and health outcomes for children in care.
Identify, assess, and respond effectively to safeguarding concerns.
Prepare high‑quality reports and attend statutory meetings, including looked after reviews, child protection conferences, and court proceedings.
Maintain accurate and timely case records within statutory timescales.
Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential staff, IROs, education providers, health professionals, and partner agencies.
Participate in supervision, reflective practice, and team meetings to maintain high standards of practice.
Maintain registration with Social Work England and engage in continuous professional development.
