What you will do:
  • Lead and develop a skilled team of SET practitioners, ensuring they are empowered, supported, and delivering outstanding interventions.
  • Shape and promote the SET service across the council and with key stakeholders, positioning it as a leading model for tackling exploitation.
  • Implement and embed the Family Help Model, ensuring young people and families receive tailored, holistic support.
  • Monitor emerging risks and trends in exploitation across Redbridge, ensuring we stay one step ahead in protecting young people.
  • Oversee complex case management, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and Court work, supporting young people on the edge of care.
  • Collaborate with specialist agencies, police, education, and health services to develop robust, preventative strategies for safeguarding.
  • Promote and embed the team’s TEDDS approach – Trust, Engage, Deter, Divert, and achieve success.
Requirements of the Team Manager:

You will need a Degree or equivalent in social work along with current registration with Social Work England. Recent managerial experience as a Team Manager, Deputy Team Manager, or Assistant Team Manager is required, alongside substantial frontline experience in Children’s Services.
