This exciting position offers the opportunity to teach a combination of subjects such as Psychology, Sociology, and Health & Social Care, depending on your specialism and experience.

You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons that encourage debate, critical thinking, and an understanding of the wider social world. Planning and delivering dynamic lessons across relevant Social Science subjects
Inspiring students to engage with contemporary issues, ethical debates, and theoretical perspectives
Assessing and tracking student progress in line with school and national expectations
Creating a positive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued and supported
Contributing to curriculum planning and wider departmental development
Upholding high standards of behaviour, participation, and academic ambition
QTS or QTLS in a Social Science subject (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care)
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the wider Social Sciences
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A reflective and adaptable approach to teaching
A current DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys bringing real-world issues into the classroom and is committed to helping students develop independent thinking, empathy, and analytical skills.
