A supportive educational organization in Gateshead seeks a Social Care Worker to support vulnerable young people with additional needs. This role requires patience, empathy, and a warm approach. You'll assist with daily routines, communication, and emotional support in a safe environment. Experience in social care or youth work is helpful but not essential. Weekly pay and training opportunities are provided. This is a temporary position, with a possibility of permanent placement.
If you’re someone who shows up with patience, empathy and a calm presence, this role could be a brilliant fit for you. We’re working with a welcoming SEN school that supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, and they’re looking for a Social Care Worker to join their team.
You don’t need to come from an education background. If you’ve worked in social care, supported living, youth work or you’ve simply got a passion for helping others, you’ll settle in well here.
If you’ve supported vulnerable young people before, fantastic. If you’re new to the sector but have the right attitude and heart, they’d still love to meet you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
