A leading energy services company in Hastings is offering a Smart Metering Apprenticeship. Candidates will receive training to become qualified Smart Metering Engineers, with a starting salary of £15,435 that can rise to £37,104 upon completion of the program. Ideal candidates should possess at least 4 GCSEs and be genuinely eager to learn and provide exceptional customer service. A full UK driving licence is required.

Your mission is to help us mend it. At our award-winning academies, you'll absorb the wisdom, grasp the skills, and earn the qualifications to emerge as a top-tier Smart Metering Engineer.

Qualifications you need to succeed as a Smart Meter Engineer:
  • 4 GCSEs, ideally including Maths & English, at grade C/4 or above or a recognised equivalent
  • A carefully considered CV that shows you have a genuine passion for learning a trade, able to demonstrate that you are mechanically or technically minded, & love providing awesome customer service
  • A full UK driving licence with 6 points or less
  • Availability to attend training at one of our four UK academies - with accommodation and travel provided if needed
What’s in it for you:
  • Starting salary of £15,435 rising to £18,743 at week 28, £22,050 (typically) at week 35, £23,877 (typically) at week 52, & £31,597 (typically) at week 60 of your apprenticeship
  • Upon completing the full programme and aftercare support (typically at week 76), salary increases to £37,104 with bonus and add-ons on top
  • London Weighting Allowance ranging from £4,000 to £6,000 (dependent on location) for living or starting your day within London
  • Expensed electric van for work use, including an EV charge point where applicable & charge card
