Empower Every Learner, Unlock Potential, Shape Futures - Join us as Skills Practitioner! An exciting opportunity has arisen at EKC Canterbury College for a Skills Practitioner in Carpentry. As a Skills Practitioner you will provide learning and technical support to staff and students within the carpentry department, and you will undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies. In your role as a Skills Practitioner you will liaise with internal and external customers/stakeholders as necessary or required, provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement, as well as stock control, to include ordering and issuing of supplies.

We are seeking to appoint an organised and efficient member to our team who has excellent communication skills and can facilitate and support learners on tasks. You will also provide demonstrations as required in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision within EKC Group. You will have recent industrial experience in carpentry. Ideally, you will have experience of education or involvement in training in the workplace. You will be able to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential aligned with the culture and ethos of the Group. The successful candidate will have a key responsibility for instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments and will purchase resources and materials within budget.
