A leading educational institution in Lichfield is seeking a Sixth Form Learning Mentor to support students in their academic progress. The role involves providing one-on-one and small group learning support, offering study guidance, and collaborating with teaching staff. Excellent communication skills and a background in education are preferred. This position offers a dynamic working environment to positively impact students' learning outcomes.
We are seeking to appoint a Sixth Form Learning Mentor. This is an exciting opportunity to join our support team, working closely with the Sixth Form team and our students. We are looking for a member of staff with excellent communication skills and the expertise to build effective relationships with students, in order to reduce barriers to learning and support them in reaching their potential. Experience in a school setting would be an advantage but above all we are looking for the right person to work with our young people.
The role is overseen by the Sixth Form team and is based in the Library Resource Centre (LRC). You will work alongside the LRC Manager, Careers Advisor, SENCO and EPQ Coordinator as part of a cooperative support network.
The daily working hours will be agreed to meet the needs of the student cohort. The formal school day starts at 8:50am and finishes at 3:15pm. There may be an opportunity for additional working hours to support the Learning Support Department by mutual agreement.
