Job description
Due to continued growth and CP7 contract award in the NW&C region an exciting opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join our team in the region working on a portfolio of rail / civil engineering & buildings asset management maintenance & renewals projects.

AmcoGiffen is a strategic and collaborative contractor of choice supporting industry leading infrastructure clients on an array of critical maintenance frameworks and capital delivery projects. Workstreams are across various markets including rail highways environmental canals and rivers aviation power electrical vehicle infrastructure and mechanical & electrical engineering.

The Role

As Site Manager you will be directly responsible for the daily management of rail civils asset management maintenance & renewals works within the regional portfolio of work. Primarily dedicated to delivering small works within the drainage and off-track portfolio such as level crossing fencing and also civils asset management / building asset management works as required.

Day to day responsibilities would include:
  • Ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with all applicable legislation, the Terms and Conditions of the Contract, the Contract Health and Safety Plan, the Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets, and the Contract Quality / Environmental Plan.
  • Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
  • Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.
  • The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
  • Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
  • The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Project and Contracts Managers.
Requirements

To excel in this role you will have previous experience as a Sub Agent or Site Manager in a rail and civil engineering maintenance environment.

  • Degree / HNC or HND in civil engineering (or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role)
  • Experience as a Site Manager in a civil engineering contracting environment.
  • Experience in a similar role working on multi-disciplinary civils and building maintenance projects.
