A construction and engineering firm is seeking an Assistant General Site Manager to coordinate multiple subcontractors on civil projects. The candidate will oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Applicants should have leadership experience and relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, along with a CCNSG Safety Passport and SMSTS certification. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects in a dynamic team environment.
Managing multiple subcontractors and SSOW Heavy civils experience essential SMSTS CSCS IOSH Managing Safely HSG47 First Aid Desirable Energy sector experience, sub station / HVDC The candidate will be from a background of Construction Manager / Site Manager / General Foreman or Works Superintendent
Apprentice trained, C&G Minimum NVQ Level 3 (Appropriate Course) plus 3 years? experience as a supervisor. Or degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years? experience as a supervisor from graduation in an Electricity Supply Industry construction site or similar (Power Generation, Oil & Gas or General Construction Sites).
Experienced preferred in participating in site activities comprising of mechanical and electrical installation.
Comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation / practice within a substation environment, for example, National Grid, SSE, SPEN etc.
Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively lead site teams and work within a team or individually as required.
