Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Logistics Administrator to join a contractor on a major construction project in Port Talbot. This long-term role runs for approximately 18 months, with standard hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, on a full-time basis.

You will coordinate site inductions, plan deliveries and vehicle movements, maintain records in Word and Excel, and liaise between site teams, subcontractors and external hauliers to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction or general logistics.
• Strong working knowledge of administrative software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively within a busy working environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and book site inductions, health and safety briefings, and passes for new workers, visitors and subcontractors.
• Book vehicle movements, manage Delivery Management Systems (DMS) and coordinate off-loading or staging windows to prevent site congestion.
• Maintain site attendance logs, asset registers, waste transfer notes and compliance documentation using Word and Excel.
• Act as an administrative point of contact between site teams, commercial departments, external hauliers and building management.
• Support the logistics management team with daily and weekly logs, delivery metrics and monitoring compliance with environmental and site rules.
