A major highways project near Howden is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of earthworks and groundworks operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and confident managing site teams and day-to-day operations.
As a Site Foreman, you will take responsibility for coordinating and supervising daily site activities, ensuring all works are completed safely, to specification, and in line with the programme. You will work closely with the Site Manager, engineers, and operatives to maintain high standards of productivity, workmanship, and compliance. This is a primarily supervisory role, though a sound practical understanding of earthworks and groundworks is essential.
You will need strong supervisory experience within highways, earthworks, or civil engineering. SSSTS (or SMSTS) is required, and plant tickets are advantageous. You should be a confident leader with solid technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive productivity while maintaining the highest safety standards. The ideal candidate is reliable, organised, safety-focused, and capable of building effective working relationships with both operatives and management.
