Qualifications

  • Proven track record in engineering management within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong leadership skills for managing multi‑shift teams and contractors.
  • Excellent knowledge of maintenance systems, Lean principles, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Confident in managing budgets and delivering CAPEX projects.
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications with H&S training.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or above) and relevant H&S training (IOSH Managing Safely, PUWER, etc.).

The Role

  • Drive operational excellence with robust planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime.
  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality, and other site teams to ensure engineering fully supports smooth manufacturing operations.
  • Manage budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality engineering solutions.
