Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for critical water infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in enhancing storm capacity and upgrading chemical dosing capabilities in the South Central region. Responsibilities include setting out, quality assurance, and managing subcontractors. The ideal candidate has a strong civil engineering background and effective communication skills. This is a rolling contract position with immediate interviews and a flexible start date.

Qualifications

• Experience in water/civil engineering environments.
• CSCS card required.
• Ability to work actively across large live construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and producing as-built records.
• Delivering quality assurance and control.
• Overseeing civils packages including reinforced concrete bases.
• Supporting self-delivery and managing subcontractors on site.

Site Engineer - Major Water Framework

Location: Redlynch, Whiteparish, Romsey

Contract Duration: 12-15 months (Six month rolling contract)

Rate: c.£360pd

Are you an experienced Site Engineer ready to make a critical impact on the delivery of essential water infrastructure? We're seeking a skilled professional to support key capital schemes as part of a long-term water sector framework in the South Central region.

You’ll be instrumental in delivering projects focused on increasing storm capacity and upgrading chemical dosing capabilities. The works are entering vital delivery phases, due for completion within three months and the remaining schemes progressing through into AMP8.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Setting out and producing as-built records
• Delivering quality assurance and control
• Overseeing civils packages including reinforced concrete bases, shallow drainage, ducts, droppits, and access roads
• Supporting self-delivery and managing subcontractors on site

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven Site Engineering experience, ideally in water/civil engineering environments
• Strong background in reinforced concrete and civils
• Effective communicator with Tier 1 contractor experience
• CSCS card and HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Fit and able to work actively across large live construction sites

You’ll be joining a team committed to the successful delivery of a multi-million-pound water infrastructure programme spanning AMP7 and into AMP8. Interviews are being scheduled immediately with a view to starting by early June.
