Job summary

MCR Property Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a flagship residential project in Bedford. You will deliver commercial and financial oversight from inception to final account, with monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and variations management.

The role is primarily site-based, with regular valuations and project reviews depending on experience. Requirements include a minimum of three years as a Quantity Surveyor across various project types, and experience in developer, main

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience as Quantity Surveyor across ranges of project types and values.
Experience within developer, main contractor, or subcontractor environments and across pre- and post-contract stages.
Ability to prepare cost plans and estimates, measure bills of quantities, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations, and final accounts.

Responsibilities

Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting.
Manage contracts and subcontract packages and variations.
Support commercial strategy and financial control across projects.
Working with Project Managers and fellow Quantity Surveyors on site-based projects.
Conduct regular valuations and project reviews.
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure budgets and programmes are met.
