Job summary

MCR Property Group in Bedford is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to drive the commercial delivery of a flagship residential village project. You will own cost reporting, monthly forecasting, and the procurement of contracts and subcontracts from inception through to final account on site.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across various project types and values.
Experience within a developer, main contractor, or subcontractor environment.
Experience across pre- and post-contract stages including cost plans, estimates, and measurements.
Proficient in preparing cost plans and estimates, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations, and final accounts.
Solid knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and building systems; fully computer literate with Excel/Word.

Responsibilities

Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting for projects.
Manage contract and subcontract packages and the management of variations.
Support pre- and post-contract activities including cost plans, tenders, and final accounts.
Carry out measurements for bills of quantities and assist with tender reporting and valuations.
Collaborate with Project Managers and other QSs to maintain budgets and programme.
