Job summary

MCR Property Group in Bedford is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial and financial delivery of a flagship residential village project. You will own monthly cost reporting, forecasting, and management of contracts and variations, ensuring schemes are delivered within agreed budgets and programmes.

Primarily site-based, the role includes regular valuations and project reviews. You will work with Project Managers and fellow QSs, shaping the commercial strategy and financial control

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across a range of project types and values.
• Experience within a developer, main contractor or subcontractor environment and across pre- and post-contract stages.
• Experience preparing cost plans and estimates, measurement for BOQs, tendering and procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations and final accounts.
• Solid understanding of construction industry processes, materials, techniques, and building systems.
• Strong ICT skills, particularly Excel and related software; full, clean driving licence.
