Job summary

MCR Property Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for a flagship residential development near Bedford. The role is site-based, delivering commercial and financial control from inception through to final account, including cost plans, bills of quantities, tendering, and value engineering.

You will report to the Construction Director and Commercial Director, own monthly cost reporting and forecasting, manage variations, and work with Project Managers and other Surveyors to drive commercial

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' experience as Quantity Surveyor across a range of project types and values.
• Experience within a developer, main contractor, or subcontractor environment.
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement processes and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Procure schemes efficiently and deliver within agreed budgets and programmes.
• Own monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting.
• Manage variations, interim valuations and final accounts.
• Tendering, procurement, and value engineering on projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and fellow Quantity Surveyors to drive commercial strategy.
