A prominent NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Sister/Charge Nurse for the Catheter Lab. The successful candidate will have significant catheter lab experience and excellent leadership abilities. Responsibilities include monitoring care standards, supporting staff, and participating in on-call efforts. This role offers a salary between £38,682 and £46,580 per annum, and is vital for the excellent care provided to cardiac patients.

Cardiac Division at Manchester Foundation Trust is one of the largest Cardiology centres in the UK. We are at the forefront of research and development and always aspire to develop new and innovative ways to care for our patient group. We have 9 cath labs located across 2 sites undertaking more than 10,000 invasive cardiac procedures including coronary angioplasty, complex ablation procedures, device implants, structural procedures such as TAVI, Mitral Clips, ASD/PFO/VSD closures, etc. We provide 24/7 primary angioplasty services to people of Greater Manchester, East Cheshire, High Peak and Derbyshire.
We are looking for caring and motivated nurses to join an existing Band 6 team. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to teach and nurture are essential; Catheter lab nurses should be enthusiastic, able to work within a fast‑moving department and open to change.
Previous catheter lab experience is essential; applicants must have recent experience within a catheter laboratory setting for a substantial period as either a Senior Band 5 or Band 6 nurse. Three years post‑registration experience is required.
Our working patterns are Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts. Upon completion of the competency programme, the post holder will be required to undertake some on‑calls as part of our 24‑hour emergency team.
