Shunter Driver (Fixed Days or Nights)

We are recruiting for a Shunter Driver for a logistics company based in Lutterworth. This is an ongoing long-term temporary role.

Shift Pattern & Pay

• Shift: 4 on/4 off
• Days: 6am‑6pm (0600‑1800) – £17.90 per hour
• Nights: 6pm‑6am (1800‑0600) – £18.40 per hour

Responsibilities

• Accurately position trailers in designated areas as per instructions.
• Conduct thorough safety inspections as mandated by the company.
• Promptly report any defects, accident damage, or incidents.
• Communicate courteously and professionally with colleagues.
• Report breaches in speed limits by drivers and subcontractors.
• Maintain vehicle parking area layouts and report debris issues to the site services team.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experienced HGV1 / Class 1 / C+E
• In-date CPC and Tacho Card
• Shunter experience desirable, but full training will be provided.
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Keen eye for detail to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Must undergo a basic DBS check, credit check and provide verifiable employment/education history.
