Job summary

Shop Manager role at Crossgates Shopping Centre, Leeds, LS15 8ET. 37.5 hours per week incl weekends on rota. Salary £25,791.23 per annum, permanent contract. Lead a team to maximise income for Sue Ryder’s vital services and recruit/retain volunteers.

You will develop community relationships, champion the Sue Ryder brand, and ensure high standards of merchandising, stock control and health & safety. 2–3 years’ retail or charity leadership preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer Service experience is essential.
• Experience in people management (reviews/1:1s/volunteer recruitment).
• Experience with KPIs and targets.
• Strong IT skills (Admin/Emails/instant messaging/video calls).
• Good organisational skills and ability to lone work.
• Desirable: familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, income and performance against targets.
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer and donor service.
• Build strong community relationships to generate donated stock.
• Recruit, train and retain a volunteer team.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety.
• Manage stock and EPOS processes to keep the shop fresh and well presented.
