Job summary

Sue Ryder is recruiting an Assistant Shop Manager for our new Crossgate shop in Leeds. You will use your retail experience to drive sales, support the team, and help deliver excellent service to customers and donors.

This role requires leadership, stock and EPOS management, strong merchandising standards, and the ability to recruit and train volunteers. Weekend rota, 30 hours per week, shifts start 8:45am and finish by 5:15pm.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience across retail settings.
• Previous supervisory experience with KPI/target focus.
• Cash handling and till experience.
• Basic IT skills for emails and messaging.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work lone shifts.

Responsibilities

• As Assistant Shop Manager you will be using your skills and retail experience to help drive sales, income and performance against targets.
• Support and motivate the team to provide excellent service to customers and donors.
• Building strong community relationships to generate quality donated stock.
• Help Recruit, train and retain a committed volunteer team.
• Support in maintaining high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety.
• Support in managing stock and EPOS processes to keep the shop fresh, seasonal and well presented.
• Championing the Sue Ryder brand, in-store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.
