Job Title: Shoe Production Operative - Clicker

Location: Northampton

Salary: £30,000+ (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday–Thursday: 07:30–16:30; Friday: 07:30–12:30

(Includes a 30-minute lunch break and 10-minute tea break)

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

We are seeking an experienced Clicker Operative to join our Northampton-based footwear manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shoe production and a keen eye for detail, as you will be responsible for cutting leather components to precise shapes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Cutting leather using clicking presses to produce accurate and consistent shoe components.
• Selecting appropriate leather grades and identifying flaws or imperfections.
• Ensuring efficient use of materials while maintaining product quality.
• Working closely with production teams to meet daily and weekly output targets.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in footwear manufacturing, preferably in a clicking role.
• Strong understanding of leather types and quality assessment.
• Excellent hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow technical patterns and cutting specifications.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
