Mon to Thu - 06 : 00 – 14 : 00 & 14 : 00 – 11 : 00
Friday - 06 : 00AM to 13 : 30PM
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Oldham. This role involves managing a team of up to 20 staff per shift, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health and safety requirements are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor will act as a key holder, responsible for securing the site and responding to alarm call-outs when required.
Supervise and manage up to 20 staff per shift to ensure efficient and productive operations.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Monitor production output and quality, addressing any issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Lead, motivate, and support staff, including training and performance management.
Conduct shift handovers and team briefings to maintain clear communication.
Manage attendance, shift cover, and any on-shift issues or incidents.
Act as key holder, responsible for locking up and securing the premises.
Respond to alarm call-outs and emergencies as required.
Maintain accurate records and reports related to staff, production, and incidents.
Work closely with management to drive continuous improvement.
Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
CNC experience is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
Good understanding of manufacturing health and safety standards.
Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work rotating shifts.
Willingness to be on call for alarm call-outs when required.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
