Location: Oldham, UK

Working Hours

06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Oldham. This role involves managing a team of up to 20 staff per shift, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health and safety requirements are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor will act as a key holder, responsible for securing the site and responding to alarm call-outs when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage up to 20 staff per shift to ensure efficient and productive operations.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Monitor production output and quality, addressing any issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Lead, motivate, and support staff, including training and performance management.
  • Conduct shift handovers and team briefings to maintain clear communication.
  • Manage attendance, shift cover, and any on-shift issues or incidents.
  • Act as key holder, responsible for locking up and securing the premises.
  • Respond to alarm call-outs and emergencies as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to staff, production, and incidents.
  • Work closely with management to drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • CNC experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.Good understanding of manufacturing health and safety standards.

  • Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work rotating shifts.
