Job summary

Tesco Shift Lead roles are designed to keep the store running smoothly while delivering excellent customer service. You will lead the team across all store areas, act as the go-to person for day-to-day queries, and coach colleagues to maintain high service standards.

You’ll manage flexible hours with a minimum guaranteed weekly commitment, and Tesco supports career growth in a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
• Clear communicator and ability to keep the team well informed.
• Natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
