Tesco stores are looking for a Shift Lead to inspire and guide the team, ensuring a smooth in-store experience for every customer. You will be the go-to leader across departments, drive service excellence, and model inclusive, proactive teamwork.

In this role, you’ll coach colleagues, communicate clearly, and take ownership of daily store operations, including covering management duties when needed. This position emphasizes flexibility and strong customer focus.

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
