Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to coordinate store operations and guide colleagues for a seamless customer experience. You will lead day-to-day duties, manage store safety, and support community and charity initiatives with a customer-first approach.

You will be the go-to leader when the Store Manager is absent, ensuring service excellence, stock replenishment, and efficient queue management while maintaining a welcoming environment for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community.
• Open/close the store and cover duties to safeguard customers and colleagues.
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Support the Store Manager with seasonal, community and charity events.
• Keep store clean, tidy and well presented.
• Prioritise replenishment of customer-facing products.
• Ensure POS and shelf labels reflect the standard of quality.
• Address overcharges promptly and prevent recurrence.
• Manage queues in-store to ensure smooth customer experience.
• Coordinate colleagues to meet daily priorities and breaks.
• Know store operations well to drive improvements and quick actions.
• Follow health and safety routines and ensure compliance.
• Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders.
• Suggest ideas to simplify operations and share with management.
• Always prioritise customers and adapt service to meet needs.
