Job summary

Iceland in the United Kingdom is hiring a committed Shift Manager to support the store leadership and deliver great customer service. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

You'll lead the team on shift, drive availability and sales, and uphold cash handling and security policies while contributing to an inclusive, supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit by focusing on product availability and in-store selling actions.
• Engage and develop staff, working with the Talking Shop Rep and fostering inclusion.
• Follow cash handling and security policies; implement standard operating procedures.
• Lead on shift to deliver a great store experience and service to customers.
• Support personal development and knowledge sharing to upskill the team.
